*ABOUT THE POSITION*
We are looking for an accountant to perform a variety of accounting tasks.
A successful accountant should be familiar with all accounting procedures, have a strong attention to detail, and be an analytical individual.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* Associate’s degree in Accounting, required
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field a plus
* 4+ years of experience in Accounting, required
* Be comfortable with accrual accounting
* Experience with ERP system or manufacturing accounting a plus
* Have experience with general ledger posting(s)
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
* Experienced Excel user preferred
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers and internal teams
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Process payable transactions
* Maintain vendor and customer records
* File monthly sales tax in multiple states
* Prepare and enter monthly journal entries
* Balance bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
* Reconcile sales and compile sales reports for management on a monthly basis
* Analyze financial reports
* Prepare yearly information for CPA firm
*ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Assisting Accounts Receivable personnel as needed
* Assist and backup front desk personnel as needed
* Additional accounting related functions as assigned by management
*COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS*
* Annual salary as negotiated, commensurate with experience and qualifications
* Annual Gainsharing Bonus (profit sharing)
