This position is responsible for maintaining a revenue cycle for our Housing Counseling program.
The Housing Billing Coordinator is responsible for completing business accounting tasks in accordance with established objectives and standards, generally accepted accounting principles, and all applicable State and Federal regulations.
This is a pivotal position in our Housing Counseling program.
By accurately billing for this program, it allows us to have the resources we need to accomplish our goals for the community.
By having the resources we need, our Housing Specialists can assist clients with securing affordable, permanent housing.
Clients may include low- to moderate-income families, veterans, a person experiencing homelessness, a person with a disability, or senior citizens.
Many of these clients may be on government-assistance programs or are transitioning from temporary to permanent housing.
Our Housing Counseling program has successfully housed (number of those housed) and counting.
If you are detail-oriented, competent with billing and data entry, and would like to help us continue making a difference, then we would love for you to apply! For your first 90 days of training, this is an office or hybrid position in the Eau Claire area.
Upon successful training, this position can work entirely remote in Wisconsin, unless needed for specific training at one of our offices.
Responsibilities can include but are not limited to: Maintain Revenue Cycle Expectations: * The Housing Billing Coordinator spends their time making sure all data is properly gathered for services performed and submitting specific information for prompt payment.
* Maintain accurate financial records.
* Resolve inconsistencies and errors.
Activities to be Completed Expectations: * Review reports and reconcile claims paid.
* Work with many different claim's submission processes.
Some are more traditional and other ways are very technical.
* Prepare reports for internal controls and management.
* Authorization management tasks.
* Bill and rebill.
* Work in Airtable.
* Work in Microsoft SharePoint.
* Confirm, collect, and analyze data.
* Any other job duties assigned.
Maintain efficient work methods and production goals Expectations: * Participate in staff meetings.
* Participate in performance reviews.
* Maintain an updated calendar including work schedule, meetings, deadlines, and events.
* Maintain files/documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
* Effectively communicate ideas and department needs using clear verbal and written communication.
* Ensure safe work practices.
Professional Development and Personnel Requirements Expectations: * Follow UCP Company Values of Customer Service, Quality, Teamwork, Diversity, and Trust.
* Handle sensitive and protected client and business information in a highly confidential manner.
* Handle all communication with all clients, customers, vendors, and other staff members effectively and respectfully.

Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED * Strong customer service orientation.
* Produce accurate work in a timely manner.
* Honesty.
* Prioritize and efficiently handle multiple tasks within deadlines.
* Proficiency in computer accounting software; Quick Books, Great Plains, Excel, Windows Office/365, Airtable, or other common software.
* Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
* Detail-oriented.
* Competent with billing and data entry.
Ideal Qualifications: * Degree preferred but not required.
* Minimum 1 year customer service experience, preferred but not required.
* Minimum 1 year billing experience, coding, and reconciliations, preferred but not required.
