We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Financial Services team.
The primary responsibility of an Accounts Receivable Specialist is to collect payments utilizing advanced negotiation techniques.
The Specialist establishes trusting relationships with customers and must proficiently handle customer inquiries via phone and e-mail.
The candidate must have strong problem-solving skills to resolve or explain any account variances or discrepancies.
The Account Receivable Specialist will also possess the ability provide outstanding customer service, produce quality work and strive to achieve common goals.
This is a Regular-Full Time position with a work schedule of Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, and one day each week a schedule of 9:30am - 6:30pm.
Major Tasks for this position include the following: Contact customers with past due accounts using strong negotiation skills and negotiate payment plans when applicable Determines and documents customer’s taxable or exempt status Independent decision making to determine new customer credit limits and terms Handle customer inquiries via phone and e-mail to resolve any account variances or discrepancies Prepare credit memos, adjustments on billing, invoices Process payments and refunds Work closely with sales department to release orders on credit hold Ability to process mechanics lien and knowledge of mechanics lien laws Utilization of Microsoft Office Special projects as assigned Other duties as assigned Skills Strong negotiation skills pertaining to collections from customers Outstanding customer service skills Strong problem solving, analytical and independent decision-making skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills including telephone and e-mail Ability to work in a team environment and work to accomplish goals Good understanding of accounting principles and knowledge of liens Excellent organizational skills with 5s Lean implementation Works well independently Ability to work with and contain confidential information Education and Experience BS in Business Administration or Accounting with some work experience including collections Or two (2) year vocational Accounting or Business degree with at least 1 year of work experience including collections Or five (5) or more years equivalent AR/Business work experience including collections RLWS is a successful, energetic, customer-driven organization that offers a state-of-the-art benefits package including a near-site no-cost health center, competitive wages, great working conditions, vacation, sick time, holidays, profit sharing, 401k, and wellness benefit programs.
