Description Bill’s Distributing, Ltd.
is an industry leader in beverage distribution.
We are a family owned and operated company since 1954 and we are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Manager.
This position is responsible for managing accounting tasks, financial planning and reporting functions within the accounting department.
Assists the Business Manager by performing a variety of accounting and administrative functions Essential Job Functions: Accounting: · Monthly Financial Statement preparation · Enters various transactions in Quick Books as required to complete the monthly accounting cycle · Electronically scans and deposits all checks in applicable bank accounts · Monthly Vehicle cost data, entry, analysis, and reporting · Maintain Employee Product Pricing · Reviews and approves bi-weekly payroll and serves as primary back-up for payroll processing · Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs Financial Controls: · Performs Monthly Bank and Company Purchasing Card reconciliations including discrepancy analysis and resolution · Maintains company credit cards and fuel cards, by adding/removing users, ordering new cards, ordering replacement cards, increasing credit limits, cancelling cards, placing fraud claims, processing and analyzing employee monthly expense reports · Insurance Claims reporting / monitoring · Weekly Price Override Reporting Government Compliance: · Prepares and files monthly beer tax returns · Back-up for monthly liquor, wine and cider tax returns · Monthly Sales & Use tax reporting · DMV Titling, Registrations, and Heavy Vehicle Use Tax Reporting · Assist with and provide evidence in response to auditors’ request Supervision: · Annual Financial Audit coordination · Annual Financial Planning Assistance · Maintains strong understanding and knowledge of Company policies and procedures · Promotes and maintains Company goodwill in all areas, internally and externally.
· Assists others and performs other tasks as necessary and/or as assigned.
· Assists in maintaining a positive company image in the trade Requirements Associate's degree in Accounting 3 years of related experience and training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Skills and Abilities Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Strong computer skills, including a strong proficiency in MS Office Experience with QuickBooks accounting software or other accounting software packages Professional demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively with other departments Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements Use hands to operate, finger, handle or feel office equipment; and reach with hands and arms Sit for long periods; stand or walk occasionally; bend or stoop rarely Talk and hear both in person and by telephone Minimal lifting required Working Conditions/Environment Typical office environment with moderately quiet noise level We Offer: · Schedule Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm · Salary starts at $60,000 · Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Life, PTO and a 401(k) with a 5% company match Product Discounts On-site fitness center for an employee + 1 Growth opportunities Bill's Distributing is an Equal Opportunity Employer
