Do you love finance? We are seeking an experienced corporate controller/ accounting professional to join our growing team.
This position is part-time and have the flexibility to work from home or in a professional fun office environment a couple days a week.
If you are a semi-retired accounting professional, this position offers a very flexible schedule for the perfect individual.
Candidate must reside within/near the Eau Claire, Wisconsin area or Twin Cities/Minnesota area.
Strong candidate will be analytical and attentive streamlining responsible for the accurate and timely financial management, as well as provide vital support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks and streamlining the company’s financial processes.
You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.
Responsibilities:
Aid in the operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions,
Ensures accuracy and thoroughness of financial data,
Prepare and interpret financial statements and analyze variances,
Prepare forecasting reports and operating budgets,
Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data and risk analysis,
Assist in internal audit functions and compile information for external auditors,
Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards,
Protects company confidential information,
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or a similar field.
CPA or MBA a plus.
Proven work experience in accounting or related field.
At least five years of related accounting experience.
Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel.
Familiarity with accounting software and tax preparation.
QuickBooks, preferred.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV, preferred.
In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and industry regulations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Must be able to communicate financial information into sound business language so people at all levels can understand.
