VINTAGE RID-JID Antique Wooden Space-Saver Drying Rack - $250 (CHIPPEWA FALLS)

Here’s an antique wooden drying rack in very good condition for its age.
Made in Spring Park, MN, by the J.
R.
Clark Co.
They named this rack Rid-Jid and the Space Saver design was patented.
We found a very similar design online that’s selling for over $1,000.
These are highly collectible for many uses including a fantastic addition to any farmhouse-themed home or modern vintage styles.
You can buy a new wooden drying rack online for over $150 but this one has so much more character and history.
Use to dry clothing, display quilts, dry flowers and herbs, etc.
One of the dowels is warped a bit and out of the hole but could be easily glued back in.
Also, at the top one of the wooden parts that’s stamped with the logo and info is split but again could be glued back together.
The dowels are about 1/2” in diameter.
It is fairly lightweight and the folding mechanism works perfectly.
Not sure what kind of wood it is.
