Job Title: Operations Trainer
Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.
These hours are flexible and may be adjusted to support the training needs on off-shifts as well as first shift.
Job Summary: The Operations Trainer will mentor and coach employees during the onboarding training to provide hands-on job training for their role.
This role is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing in-depth skills training to employees through all job functions in the department.
The Operations Trainer role will continue to provide ongoing training to employees, developing the technical and functional skills to be promoted to the next step progression.
The Operations Trainer will provide feedback and recommendations to management regarding training opportunities.
The Operations Trainer will act as a liaison between employees and other departments to ensure communications are clear.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for providing a thorough step by step, on the job process training to all new hires/rehires ensuring the job functions are performed safely and accurately.
Assist with ensuring all trainings session are completed and documented in the appropriate timeframe.
Update management of any deficiencies of non-completion.
Oversee training to ensure all new hires/rehires perform duties following all good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) including food, equipment, and operating safety requirements.
The Operations Trainer will float in departments as business demands require.
Conduct Lock Out – Tag Out training for authorized Lock Out – Tag Out employees and other safety training as necessary.
Gather, audit and document new and existing employee’s training progress.
Provide progress updates to appropriate manager/supervisor.
Provide ongoing training as needed.
Coordinate with appropriate supervisor to prepare for new hires arrival and training schedule.
Translate documentation into Spanish translation as necessary.
Assist with conversations requiring translation including but not limited to training conversations, phone conversations, walk-in interviews if available, candidate tours, and other conversations requested.
Demonstrate and train to a high standard to meet customer demands, production and packaging needs, and quality requirements in assigned area.
Attend all required company training.
Flexible to support work in all areas as needed.
Other duties may be required as needed to meet production demand.
Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills Written and Verbally Bilingual in Spanish/English Work independently or in a team environment.
Complete all necessary cleaning and workplace sanitation requirements.
Perform all tasks in a busy environment with limited supervision.
Record production information on a tablet, computer or by hand.
Flexible to support work in all areas as needed.
Perform duties following all good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) including food, equipment, and operating safety requirements.
Verbal/written communication skills Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and act upon them.
Time management skills Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information High attention to detail Maintain excellent attendance.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, averages, density, area, circumference, and volume with accuracy and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements: Continuously lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Stand continuously.
Vision including the ability to read, distance vision and peripheral.
Walk frequently.
Climb ramps or stairs.
Push/pull materials form conveyors.
Sit rarely.
Required Personal Protective Equipment: Hearing protection Bump cap.
