2000 model year Mad River Explorer 16 in the Kevlar Ultralite layup.
Length is 16' 3".
If you have always wanted a lighter portaging boat, but couldn't justify the cost, this could be your answer.
The Explorer is known as a very stable hull.
Even as a shorter tripping canoe, it has good volume due to its depth.

I acquired as a winter project, but am unsure if I will actually get to it.
Boat was previously used as a Boundary Waters tripper.
Owner passed away and sat outside unused until I purchased from his family.
Has been cleaned up and stored inside since.
This boat has so much potential.
Structurally everything is there.
It needs someone willing to sand and scrape, then apply new fiberglass cloth and resin in certain spots.
The seats and yoke are in great condition.
It shouldn't take more than $100 in materials to do this project, maybe $150 if you decide to replace the black deck caps.
