Position Purpose:
Represent our stores image in a positive manner by providing our customers with helpful, courteous service.
Maintains pricing, stocking, displaying and rotation of merchandise in the froze food and dairy department; controls frozen and dairy foods ordering and receiving functions.
Qualifications/Skills:
Must be 18 years or older.
One year of supervising experience, preferred
Honest, team-oriented person who has a good work ethic and productive nature.
Must have a friendly, courteous, service-oriented attitude.
Able to perform work independently to achieve company goals.
Able to direct and enforce company goals and policies to staff.
Able to keep confidential information.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel may be required.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Manager
Performs duties in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with store safety policies and procedures.
Responsible for the performance and supervision of all employees working dairy and frozen departments and ensures their compliance with store and department policies and procedures.
Monitors the receiving and unloading of frozen and dairy product
- Ensures that Frozen/Dairy receiving accurately reflect the items and counts listed on vendor invoices
- Check products to confirm quality, count, and condition
- Enforce receiving procedures according to store policy
Orders necessary merchandise and supplies for frozen/dairy department according to store procedures
Ensures effective inventory control to maximize sales, turnover and to minimize over and under stocks.
Keeps refrigerated displays on shelves well stocked according to tag locations
Ensures proper storage for all frozen/dairy food merchandise according to store procedures
Ensures that all merchandise is rotated in accordance with store policy and product code pulls all out-of-code merchandise
Ensures that all frozen/dairy merchandise is properly priced and price changes implemented in a timely manner in accordance with store procedures
Ensures frond end accuracy and integrity
Monitors and enforces a regular and effective housekeeping program throughout the departments
Keeps all frozen/dairy cases clean according to prescribed procedures; monitors temperatures and operating conditions of storage area and refrigerated cases.
Ensures that frozen/dairy employees respond promptly to emergencies or potential safety hazards such as spills, broken glass or containers.
Meets the physical requirements to perform the job functions listed above
General:
Interaction with customers will be friendly, courteous, positive and enthusiastic.
Directs or shows customers where items are in the store.
Stays productive while punched in.
Greet customers by using the Ten Foot Rule.
Other duties as they are assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Lift 80lbs occasionally, lift 40lbs regularly.
Stand for the duration of work shift.
Reaching and pulling merchandise regularly.
Occasionally, work in a cooler that is 35 degrees Fahrenheit,
55 degrees Fahrenheit daily.
