Responsible for ensuring print products are developed/produced successfully, in accordance with all job and/or customer specifications.
Leads a support team of production staff on their line for efficient manufacturing of branded print merchandise that meets the quality standards of Powertex, as well as our customer.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Read and fully understand the Job Traveler prior to instructing the team (Print Assistant, Packaging Associates and/or Packaging Lead)
Demonstrate knowledge, experience, and support for print related procedures
Must fully understand and be able to demonstrate expert knowledge of all downstream activities from Print.
This would include material handling, running the dryer, catching, packaging, labeling, quality assurance and closing paperwork
Ensures first off product is produced to internal and customer standards.
Seeks approval as required
Manages production counts and tracks press impressions with press counter.
Verifies any misprints, flaws, over or under print situations by Production Task/garment with the Packaging Associate.
Completes Production Tasks in NetSuite to remove the task from the production schedule
Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve print related issues in a timely fashion
Effectively and professionally coach, mentor and/or train support staff to ensure quality screen printing
Works with Print Lead and/or Supervisor to enter requests in NetSuite and/or Ayoa to alert creative when artwork revisions are needed
Reports maintenance related issues/concerns to the Print Lead and/or Supervisor so they can request service via MaintainX software
Performs routine preventative maintenance as outlined/required for the machine
Alert Print Lead and/or Supervisor when print supplies are at or near reorder levels

Maintain professionalism in all communication and actions when working with internal and external customers
Responsible for reporting any performance issues or concerns of the print support team in a timely fashion to the Print Lead, Packaging Lead and/or Supervisor
Meets expectations related to output, quality, timelines and cost
Coordinates with the Press Assistant and/or Material Handler to ensure that the next 1 to 3 jobs are known and properly staged for efficient changeover
Follows all safety protocol, uses the appropriate PPE where required and ensures the support team is also in compliance
Ensures housekeeping standards are met and maintained in the immediate work area(s)
Coordinates a proper press cleanup after each job to ensure the press is ready for the next job/operator.
This is to include but is not limited to ink in print station, flood bars, screens removed and job specific supplies are properly removed
Assist with communication and ensure team members are aware of targets and responsibilities
Works to ensure the print team and resources required are applied effectively and efficiently
Supports/enforces all Lean efforts
Supports improvement opportunities and is willing to offer suggestions/continuous improvement ideas as it relates to printing operations
Performs other duties as requested
Qualifications and requirements:
Previous garment screen printing manufacturing experience highly recommended
High School diploma or equivalent required
Additional information:
This position requires working from a standing position with frequently lifting <25lbs, kneeling, crouching, twisting and bending.
This is a full-time position.
