*MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN*

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to execute electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
They complete preventative maintenance tasks, run medium to large projects, and repair production and facility equipment, according to safety preventative maintenance systems and processes.

*Job Functions* * Complete daily inspections of facilities and equipment including greenhouse support systems such as HVAC, plumbing and environmental controls.
* Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
* Perform mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
* Use electrical and electronic test instruments as well as a full range of precision measuring tools to perform equipment repairs.
* Read and interpret maintenance/manufacturing manuals and blueprints.
* Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the facility’s equipment.
* Provide emergency/non-scheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
* Perform moderate machinist duties and responsibilities.
* Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
* Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
* Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
* Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
* Quality check equipment regularly to ensure everything is in working order.
* Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
*Job Qualifications* _*Education: *_Associates Degree and completion of a craft apprentice and/or an equivalent number of years of education and related maintenance experience, required.
_*Experience:*_ * 1-3+ years of maintenance experience, required.
* Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.
_*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*_ * Knowledge of industrial electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
Examples include control relay logic; voltage control schemes; photo-eyes; distance and pressure transducers; etc.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
* Work independently as well as in a team environment.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Maintain confidentiality.
* Perform under strong demands in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of or ability to learn hydroponics practices that will directly affect and relate to the overall production of the entire aquaponics facility.
* Broad technical views and understanding of manufacturing process design including statistical methods that will enhance or improve the speed, quality and cost effectiveness of production process.
* Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and project management skills.
* Set priorities and to work with minimal direction and supervision.
*Schedule Expectations* * On-call with other employees to respond to system alarms.
* Will include some weekends and holidays.
* Flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
