JOB PURPOSE:
To lead and develop Team Members in their assigned work areas while focusing on continuous improvement during the manufacturing process.
Make sure all employees in this area have the tools and knowledge necessary to allow them to function at their highest level, enabling them to meet all production and scheduling goals in a safe work environment.
Promote and support the Company's mission, vision, values, and goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize the flow of product/components within the plant for manufacturing efficiency and ease of controlled inventories.
Provide daily quality checks on each workstation to ensure the company’s quality standards are being met and to prevent production of defective products.
Conduct frequent quality checks on raw materials and finished fills.
Help maintain proper machinery operation by providing information to the maintenance department on updates, problems, and preventative measures.
Monitor the processing of all paperwork flowing through the plant including production sheets, inventory adjustments, quality check sheets, etc.
Check all paperwork to ensure accuracy.
Report any problems that arise with the equipment during manufacturing to the Maintenance Department.
Ensure employees maintain a clean and organized work area throughout scheduled shifts as well as at designated times by monitoring and directing behaviors.
Meet with Plant Supervisor on daily production.
Coordinate with the team on “rush” orders to complete.
Participate in area meetings to discuss changes, problems, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned and needed.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide guidance through coaching and motivating, to ensure accountability.
Listen to and address employees’ concerns to resolve issues and lead a culture of respect, teamwork, and collaboration.
Work collaboratively with team and other departments to troubleshoot and implement actions that yield positive results.
Serves as a role model for work ethic, behavioral conduct, professional image, safety training and behavior, and quality standards in full compliance with all work rules and policies.
Support cross-training programs to create a flexible workforce, allowing coverage for all key functions throughout the year.
Plan, establish, and communicate work schedules, assignments, and expectations to employees in all machining areas.
Provide an onboarding experience that allows employees to learn, develop, and acclimate to the company culture.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or Equivalent.
Experience and/or Training: 1 – 3 years of experience working with manufacturing operating systems.
Licenses/Certificates: Required to take company-provided Forklift Training and receive a Forklift Certificate.
Technology/Equipment: Proficiency working in Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Leadership skills training.

Sound level below 85 decibels except in areas specified as requiring hearing protection.
