POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Service Mechanic is responsible for safely conducting sales and service to multiple food processing industry customers in the region for both Magnuson and CCM.
This position must be self-sufficient and mange their own schedule dependent upon customer needs.
While very hands-on for service, repairs, and rebuilds; this role also involves a sales and customer service element.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow proper safety procedures and safeguards others’ safety at all times, understanding the obligation to refuse to perform any tasks that are unsafe Maintain his or her assigned area or normal working area so that it is clean and orderly Help others learn and in every way assist and train them to improve their skills Represent the Company in a professional and respectable manner Manage and maintain food processing systems/equipment ensuring total customer satisfaction (quality, productivity, service) as well as achievement of organizational and departmental goals and objectives to include support of sales initiatives Provide direct support and subject matter expertise to customer for processing equipment ensuring full satisfaction regarding equipment performance and service Perform repairs, overhauls, preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot equipment problems to reduce productivity losses Maintains spare parts consignment inventory to support regional customers Must be able to read mechanical drawings (layouts, assembly drawings) and electrical schematics.
Provide guidance and training to customer personnel to successfully operate, maintain and overhaul equipment Generate revenue opportunities through machine, parts, and service Document and report machine performance, corrective actions, maintenance activities, parts utilization, etc.
Effectively communicate customer corrective actions required to improve machine performance Consistently and accurately follow standard operating procedures, policies, etc.
Expected regular regional travel around 50% of the time Self-directed in managing own schedule, work, and deadlines Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED required Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills on complex equipment and processes.
Advanced mechanical skills and experience (bearings, bushing, chains, belts, hoses, pumps, seals, motors, etc.
) Intermediate electrical skills and experience (sensors, PLCs, circuits, etc.
