The Maintenance Project intern will assist the Maintenance Department with entering data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System, update Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) documentation, update/create step by step procedural documents, update/create Global Harmonized System labeling and label inventory warehouse areas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position may participate in one or more of the following duties as directed by supervision or management.
Work with Maintenance personnel to identify and enter machine information (Assets) into the CMMS.
Identify part numbers, research part information and enter that information into CMMS.
Work with the Maintenance Manager to update LOTO to meet all OSHA standards.
Update/create step by step Procedures to instruct specified tasks as the need is recognized.
Use label printing software and/or CMMS system to create and print labels.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and enter manufacturer specified routine maintenance into CMMS system.
Work with Maintenance personnel to identify discrepancies in preventative maintenance (PM) checklists and update.
Create PM work instruction in the form of checklists when need is identified.
Assist in auditing areas where projects have recently been completed to ensure everything is properly updated.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Enrolled in a maintenance program from a post-secondary school.
Shift is flexible and can be changed to accommodate current courses/schedule.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Strong Windows based Computer Skills.
Knowledgeable of OSHA requirements helpful.
Excellent listening, verbal, organizational and written communication skills.
Must pay attention to detail.
Able to prioritize assignments, effectively communicate, work with people, and translate company needs into actions necessary to achieve the goals.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
