Building Automation Lead Technician Building Automation Lead Technician position is responsible for implementation of quality building automation control practices utilizing technical proficiency developed through formal training, experience, and execution of assigned tasks.

Create and install control logic in compliance with company standards and project specifications.
Oversight of systems installation subcontractor for adherence to company standards, project specifications, and systems design.
Be the onsite project lead for systems checkout, commissioning, and closeout.
Create, duplicate, adjust, and commission graphical user interface in accordance with project requirements.
Maintain accurate system installation checkout and as built documentation.
Manage materials necessary to complete assigned projects.
Analyze automation systems operations for adherence to sequence and implement improvements as necessary.
Proficiency with electrical principals and safety in high and low voltage applications.
Extensive working knowledge of HVAC systems and their control sequences.
Ability to interpret HVAC sequences and create appropriate programming logic.
Assist Systems design team with technical proficiency as related to control systems architecture.
Be proficient with information technology networking for successful deployment of automation systems on existing networks.
Provide accurate assessment of project status and report progress to the team.
Develop and maintain positive co-worker and customer relationships.
Be involved in the team effort of constant process evaluation and improvement.
Assist other team members with technical support as needed to execute projects.
Maintain an awareness of industry technological advances and help implement new solutions.
Prepare correspondence, letters, emails, and verbal communications to company standards.
Provide technical proficiency to assist clients with software, hardware, and networking solutions.
Assist in mentoring and developing entry level employees.
Assist with estimating, design, and project change orders.
Assist with creating project proposals when necessary.
Be scheduled for on-call rotation for after-hours service calls.
Additional Duties may be assigned.
Experience/Education Requirements: 4-year College Engineering Degree (HVAC/Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or 2-year Associate Degree (HVAC/Mechanical or Electrical) or 1 year Technical Diploma (HVAC/Mechanical or electrical) with equivalent work experience.
Knowledge and Experience with the Tridium Niagara Platform Niagara4 Certification highly preferred Experience with Distech Controls is highly preferred.
Experience with leading building automation projects through all phases of implementation.
Information Technology (networking) experience is highly preferred.
Experience with Trane, Johnson Controls, Alerton, Automated Logic, and Siemens are preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Organizational skills Ability to handle multiple assignments.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
Microsoft Office Proficiency Outlook, Excel, Visio, Word, Teams Advanced Customer Service skills Advanced verbal and written Communication skills Knowledge of Industry Standards and Codes ASHRAE, NFPA, UL, NEC, and Wisconsin State Administrative Codes for HVAC Strong knowledge of electrical and construction safety practices and requirements Physical Demands / Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
