ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Provide personal care (manicures, bathing, and dressing) to individuals requiring assistance
* Provide daily orientation to residents
* Facilitate activity group, serve meals/snacks, and clean kitchen/dining room area
* Report to next shift with updates on any progress or changes
* Assist with medications as indicated, charting, health monitoring (blood pressures, weights, temperatures)
* Answer and transfer telephone calls appropriately
* Verbally communicate with residents, families, pharmacists, medical and facility staff
* Arrange for transfer of resident to medical facility if needed
* Handle and maintain confidential information/records
* Project a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, and the public
* Document appropriate to cares/needs given
* Use the appropriate lift per residents’ care plans
* Perform additional duties as assigned
